Venture Hall announces first accelerator cohort
A pain-management app, an AI-enabled medical records software company, and a cloud-based wellness tracking platform for employers are among the first cohort of healthcare-related startups that will spend three months in Portland this summer scaling their businesses and expanding their networks.

[Re]Produce wins UMaine Business Challenge
Two students from College of the Atlantic have won the UMaine Business Challenge for their company, [Re]Produce, which aims to provide an additional revenue stream to Maine farmers by buying and processing their excess and unmarketable produce, and then selling it to consumers who want year-round access to locally grown vegetables. Other top finishers in the competition include Comfort Appliance and Boreal Games.

Tues., May 16 — Startup Grind Portland's second event is a talk with Bryanne Leeming, founder of JumpSmart, which has developed an interactive product for kids that keeps them active while also teaching them to code.
