MaineHealth and Unum are committing a combined $200,000 to help Venture Hall launch a healthcare technology startup accelerator in Portland.
Scheduled to begin in late June, the accelerator aims to attract eight to 10 high-quality startups working on healthcare-related ideas from all over the country to temporarily relocate to Portland, drawn by the expertise and mentorship, not to mention business opportunities, that MaineHealth and Unum could provide.
Supporting “Maine’s startup and innovation ecosystem is not only critical to MaineHealth, it’s critical to all of Maine,” says Bill Caron, MaineHealth CEO.
